Our Roots Flow Meter (also known as Waist Wheel Flow Meter) is a positive displacement volumetric gas meter designed for accurate measurement of natural gas, LPG, CNG, biogas, propane, nitrogen, and other non‑corrosive gases. It operates on the principle of two interlocking waist‑shaped rotors that rotate in precise synchronization, allowing a fixed volume of gas to pass through per rotation.

This design provides high accuracy (±1.0% of reading), a wide turndown ratio, and low pressure loss without requiring long straight inlet/outlet pipes. The meter is available with built‑in temperature and pressure compensation, delivering real gas volume correction for billing or process control. Output options include 4‑20mA, pulse, and RS485 Modbus communication. With an IP65 enclosure and optional explosion‑proof rating, it is suitable for industrial pipelines, city gas networks, petroleum chemical plants, gas storage, and remote monitoring systems.
