28mm Solid Thimble for Wire Rope, rigging accessory, greater protection against wear and deformation of rope eye Wire Rope attachment Product Description Our Solid Thimbles are made of cast steel and ductile iron. They are designed for
provide greater protection against wear and deformation of rope eye. All of the thimbles comply with GB/T 5974.2-2006 standards for making a 'hard' eye with wire rope, it creates a loop at
wire rope ends. The thimbles provide a means for connecting wire rope to attachments. The thimbles are used to protect the eyes of cable and wire
rope slings from abrasion by providing a solid steel barrier
between the fragile cable strands and the other rigging fitting
used in the connection. Main features: - Used for wire ropes sized from 8mm to 60mm. - Wire rope with 8mm to 32mm in diameter are equipped with Solid Thimble that made of cast steel. - Wire rope with 36mm to 60mm in diameter are equipped with Solid
Thimble that made of ductile iron. Ductile iron offers increased fatigue- and impact-resistance over
cast iron due to the inherent shape of its nodular graphite
inclusions. - Finish: self coloured, rust coloured. - Sizes for the hole of the thimble can be customized upon request. Specification
