Gear is a common part in mechanical transmission, with strong bearing capacity and durability. The gear used by laser chuck can be divided into straight gear and helical gear. Helical gear has stronger transmission ability, lower noise and smooth rotation than spur gear. Helical gears engage more teeth at the same time than spur gears, so there is less pressure on each tooth. Spur gears and helical gears cost about the same to manufacture. Spur gear drives, which do not generate axial forces, are an advantage over helical gears.
