Machined Glass Ceramics
|
Machined Glass CeramicsMachined glass ceramics have a continuous use temperature of 800°C and a maximum temperature of 1000°C. Its coefficient of thermal expansion easily matches that of most metals and sealing glass. It is easily machined and can be turned, milled, planed, ground, bored, cut, and carved. It also offers advantages such as insulation, non-porosity, high/low temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and thermal stability.
Main properties of processed glass ceramics:
Magnetic susceptibility ≤1.2×10 -6
Areas of application of processed glass ceramics:
It is widely used for nuclear, microwave, and high-vacuum insulation, high-precision non-magnetic casings for aircraft and astronaut electrical devices, ultra-high-voltage insulation for electric motors, and structural components subject to severe erosion. In terms of machinability, it can replace difficult-to-machine aluminum oxide and boron nitride ceramics.
Characteristics of the processed glass ceramics:
Rod: Ф25 mm ~ Ф160 mm, length up to 300 mm. |
