Product Introduction

This API production line is specialized for manufacturing straight welded pipe for petroleum & gas, construction, metallurgy, transportation, machinery, and vehicle industries. Taking hot-rolled steel as raw material, it produces required pipes through cold roll forming and H.F. welding. The whole production line adopts “ZTF” forming technology which is developed by ourselves.

Process Flow

Steel Coil → Double-arm Uncoiler → Shear and End Cutting & Welding → Coil Accumulator → Forming (Flattening Unit + Main Driving Unit + Forming Unit + Guide Unit + High-Frequency Induction Welding Unit + Squeeze Roller) → Deburring → Water Cooling → Sizing & Straightening → Flying Saw Cutting → Pipe Conveyor → Packaging → Warehouse Storage

Theory

The flexible Forming method is used in this pipe mill. Do not need to change rollers in the breakdown section. The structure is more simple and strong, so the operation and Maintainance are easy. The mill is seldom going wrong. 

Technology

ZTF is a kind of forming technology developed by Zhongtai Company in 2005, which absorbed the advanced technology from both domestic and international and then earn the “Technology Innovation Award” by China Cold Forming Steel Association.

Application

The API pipe mill is used to produce standard API pipes. They can be used for the extraction or injection of gas, oil, water, steam, etc., and can be classified as casing or tubing, depending on the application. The casing is used as a protective layer to help the well resist internal or external contaminants for durability. Tubing is used to inject or extract oil.
