The IR528-WM is a kind of hand-held infrared & low light fusion binocular which is mainly used for observing scenes day and night, with a certain ability to recognize camouflage. The binocular has low light, thermal imaging, fusion of black and white, fusion of colors modes.

Compared with thermal imaging binoculars, night vision binoculars are much cheaper.

Thermal imaging binoculars collect infrared radiation and turn it into a thermogram. They don’t rely on light and nor emit infrared ray actively. They can be effective in day and night which has poor light conditions or total darkness and even in harsh environments such as rain, snow, dust and haze etc.

While night vision relies on visible light. They collect ambient light, moonlight or starlight and amplify it to detect targets in the dark. They cannot be used during the day, because they maybe damaged. And also they cannot see through bushes, smoke, fog or rain.
