Cooled AD Module GAVIN615A
The Accelerator for 640x512 / 15μm MCT MWIR Cooled Infrared Detector Integration
Product Description
EYAS series cooled AD modules have the pre-amplifier function to convert the analog signal from cooled IR detectors into a digital video stream output. It is available with different resolution formats and different wave bands. EYAS615A is a member of EYAS family with 640x512@15μm MWIR cooled detector and RS058 cryocooler integrated.
EYAS615A AD module features in frame rate up to 120Hz, snapshot, ITR/IWR, windows, anti-blooming working modes. The proximity board comes with EYAS615A makes it an accelerator for OEM customers to carry out fast acceptance test on GST infrared detectors, start rapid secondary development and shorten their development period of modules and complete products based on cooled infrared detectors.

FAQs
1. How to choose proper infrared detector resolution? It depends on the actual needs and applications of your products, and the price is also a factor that needs to be considered. If the image quality is not high, you can choose the infrared detector with low resolution, such as 120x90, 256x192, 400x300. If you need a very clear image for some special purposes, such as remote monitoring, you can choose a high resolution infrared detector of 1280x1024.
2. What is MCT/HgCdTe detector? MCT, also called HgCdTe, refers to Mercury-Cadmium-Tellurid which is a chemical compound of cadmium telluride (CdTe) and mercury telluride (HgTe) and a common material in photodetectors. MCT/ HgCdTe detector is a photoconductive detector that operates at a cryogenic environment and can detect infrared radiation. It is more sensitive than the thermal sensors.
3. What are the advantages of cooled infrared detectors? The cooled infrared focal plane detector operates at a low temperature which is provided by a detector dewar cooler (ddc). It has high sensitivity and can distinguish more subtle temperature difference than uncooled infrared detector. It can detect, identify and recognize objects at a very long range which is more than ten kilometers away. The structure of cooled detector is very complex which results in a relatively high cost than uncooled detector. |
