Advantage:

Generally, air tightness and seal testing are usually carried out by water submersion. However, hydraulic submersion test is carried out visually by people, and there is a high chance of human error (such as failing to observe the bubbles). The difference in each operator's abilities and sense would also make the testing inaccurate. Air leak test measures the amount of air that leaks out from the product "leak rate" to test the airtightness and seal. The leak rate figure that passes or fails a product can be set, in order to carry out the testing both accurately and efficiently.
