Copper XHHW-2 600V XLPE Insulation Low Voltage Power Cable for Power Distribution

1. Application: XHHW-2 cables are primarily used for power distribution. XHHW-2 cables may be used in wet or dry locations, with ambient temperatures not exceeding 90°C. Voltage rating for RW90 cable is 600V. The THW conductor is suitable for most current wiring solutions for residential, commercial and industrial environments. It is used in service entrance, feeders and branch circuits for permanent installations. THW conductors in sizes 14 AWG to 1000 Kcmil (MCM) can be installed in conduits and other raceways. The temperature of installation shall not exceed 75°C (THW), not exceed 90°C (THW-2).

2. Conductors: XHHW-2 conductor is a compressed soft drawn bare copper with class B stranding per ASTM.

3. Insulation: XHHW-2 has abrasion, heat and moisture resistant cross-linked polyethylene insulation XLPE.

4. Standards: UL standard 44 Requirements of the National Electrical Code ASTM standards B 800, B 801 Federal Specification J – C – 30B Sunlight resistant 19 strand 2awg 3awg copper electrical ASTM: B3, B8.

5. Working Condition THW wire:

1. For installation in conduits and other raceways

2. Oil and grease resistant insulation

3. Abrasion and crush resistant

4. THW insulation is flame retardant PVC and meets the UL VW-1 flame test

5. Maximum continuous conductor temperature: 75°C Dry, 75°C Wet
