Application

The Environment Monitoring Unit EA2312301 is a network monitor designed for outdoor telecom enclosure. The monitor include SNMP remote network monitoring, with network interface and intuitive web page display for remote monitoring, easy operation. The monitoring unit support 220V AC or 48V DC power supply. It supports 15-way switching value and 6-way relay control output. It is secure and reliable. It will be the best choice for remote monitoring over outdoor telecom cabinet. Standard 1U 19-inch rack-mount design allow the monitoring unit to installed on 19 inch rail inside outdoor telecom cabinet.

Mechanical Structure And Wiring Port

(1) Enclosure

The environment monitoring unit is designed with 1U rack mount.

Size: 423mmW×223mmD×45mmH).

(2) Front Panel

• POWER: on/off switch;
• LCD widescreen display makes it easier for users to confirm the parameter settings and operation of the system

(3) Back Panel

• AC220V-50(60)Hz : AC220V power input(optional)

• DC48V/2.5A : DC48V power input(optional)

• RS485/EXT: RS485 communication port, used to expand the monitoring environment temperature and humidity or other device;

• RS232/Device: Serial port communication interface for parameter configuration and cabinet information query with PC;

• Ethernet : UTP 10/100M RJ45 Ethernet interface;

• Default: IP configuration; restore the default IP when NO.1 dials down.

(4) Wiring Port Diagram

①　Modbus main device external interface: optional 7-inch touch screen or PC to view monitoring data; can view attachments to understand the relevant register definition.

MODBUS is adopted as the interface protocol to support the MODBUS RTU standard. Supports 02, 03, 04 commands for queries:

②　Active input sampling port; positive and negative voltage is DC12V; input signal is DC12V or 0V.

③　Passive input sampling port.

④　Analog input sampling port A1-A4: Positive and negative voltage is DC12V; Input port voltage range: DC 0-5V.

• Can be used with a variety of transmitters to achieve power, temperature, pressure and other aspects of detection.

⑤　Relay output control port: switch value output.

• Passive switch output mode: select this mode to support independent switch output; state: closed; disconnected.

          (The default output is 6-way passive switching output, which is commonly used as switch output.).

• Active switch output mode (optional) (6-way switch value can be freely selected)

          When this mode is selected, GND is a fixed pin; output status: DC12V; DC 0V
