What is ADSS Cable?All-dielectric refers to the use of all-dielectric material (means one that has non-metallic non-conducting properties, with an insulating material that resists the passage of electric current through the cable. The self-supporting refers to the ability of the reinforcing member of the optical cable to withstand its own weight and external load. ADSS cable is, mainly, used on power pole frames, so it is required to have high mechanical strength and be able to endure the impact of strong electric environments.

·Application The actual status of overhead power lines is taken into full consideration when ADSS cable is being designed. For overhead power lines under 110kV, PE outer sheath is applied. FOR power lines equal to or over 110kV, AT outer sheath is applied. The dedicate design of aramid quantity and stranding process can satisfy the demand on various spans.
·Standards ADSS cable complies with Standard IEEE P 1222 as well as IEC 60794-1.
