This product is a metric self-tapping wood screw manufactured to DIN 7982 (countersunk flat head) or DIN 7981 (pan head), featuring a Phillips cross recess drive and a Type C (or Type F) tapping thread with a sharp cone point. The self-tapping thread creates its own mating thread when driven into pre-drilled or pilot holes in wood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, and other timber-based materials, eliminating the need for pre-tapped inserts. Available in carbon steel (property classes 4.8, 5.8, or 8.8) and stainless steel (A2-304, A4-316) with surface finishes including zinc plating, yellow zinc, black oxide, or passivated stainless.
