DIN 975 Threaded Rods are long, solid cylindrical bars that are continuously threaded
from end to end with external machine screw threads. Typically 1000
mm (1 meter) long, they are similar to threaded studs but studs are
usually less than 200 mm in length. Commonly referred to as "all
thread" or "all thread rod," they are used in a variety of
fastening applications especially when a long fastener is required
but the length exceeds that of available bolts. Being headless,
nuts may be used at each end particularly in situations like
through-hole bolting and anchoring. Threaded rod can be cut to the
desired length although the tips of plated steel rod could then be
susceptible to rust (a zinc-rich cold galvanizing compound is
sometimes used to coat exposed steel rod ends). Available in steel,
Class 4.6 and 8.8; Grade B7 alloy; and stainless steel. Coarse
right-hand thread is standard but some types can be supplied with
fine and extra fine threads. Finishes for steel are plain finish
(unplated and susceptible to rust) and zinc plated. Measure
threaded rods from end to end. Legend: d - the nominal diameter of the thread Makings:QBH Steel: 4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9 Stainless: A2,A4 Plastic: - Non Ferrous: Brass Thread: 6g
