Description of toughened tempered glass:

Toughened glass is a type of safety glass which is prepared to increase the strength of normal glass. The glass undergoes compression and tension through which, the glass breaks down into pieces. This can cause injuries and damage and thus, the toughened glass is used for making door panels, control panel, glass shelves and such things used on regular basis. Toughened glass eliminated the possibility of injury and is constructed under strict supervision to ensure durability and strength.

Process of toughened tempered glass​:

Unlike annealed glass or what we know as “ordinary” glass, tempered glass does not break into large jagged shards that can cause serious injuries. Instead, it breaks into smaller granular pieces that are less likely to cause harm. This is why tempered glass is used in passenger vehicle windows, refrigerator trays, shower enclosures, microwave ovens, and other things we use on a regular basis.
Tempered glass is also much stronger than annealed glass. It undergoes a complex manufacturing process that toughens it both physically and thermally.

Advantages of toughened tempered glass:

1) Impact resistance: the impact strength of tempered glass with the same thickness is 3-5 times of that of ordinary glass, and the bending strength is 3-5 times of that of ordinary glass. We often use, store and clean dishes in the kitchen. It's hard to avoid rubbing kitchen appliances. The use of toughened glass with high impact resistance can enhance the durability of kitchen appliances.
2) Good permeability: tempered glass generally has more than 91% visible light transmittance, with crystal like quality. Modern home decoration pays more and more attention to the sense of design. The kitchen appliances made of toughened glass can improve the overall aesthetic feeling of the kitchen.

Quality Inspection process
1, When the first 100 pieces of finished products are packed, the quality inspector shall inspect them at the inspection point of finished products.
2, The product will be inspected two times casually every shift.
3, Before the product is packaged or after the finished product is repaired, the quality inspector shall inspect it at the finished product inspection point.
4, After the product is packaged, the quality inspector will inspect it at the finished product inspection point.
5, If the finished product is stored for more than one month or for other special reasons, the warehouse administrator shall inform the quality inspector on duty to inspect it at the delivery site (visual inspection according to the standard and packaging scheme is in conformity).

FAQ

Q: What's the cut hole effect?
A: It depends on different thickness and for thick glass; we usually use water jet + CNC.

For thin glass, we use CNC for cut hole to make sure no breakage chips exist from hole edge.

Q: Is irregular shape glass available?
A: No problem because we will use shape cutting machine + CNC to make sure about the quality.

Q: How's the silk print effect?
