The specific operation of the incubation process
1. Hygiene and disinfection
Before incubation, the incubator and incubation chamber should be thoroughly cleaned, brushed, and then fumigated with potassium permanganate or formalin before incubation.
2. Check the incubation equipment
Before incubation, it is necessary to comprehensively check the incubation equipment, observe whether the fan rotation and egg turning device are normal, whether the accessories are complete, if abnormalities are found, they should be repaired in time, and then test the temperature and add water to the water tray. When the incubator reaches the required temperature and humidity, observe for half a day, and if it is operating normally, the eggs can be officially incubated.
3. Egg selection, preservation and sterilization
Fresh eggs within 5 days (more than 7 days) are used for hatched eggs, and the storage time is more than 5 days, and the hatchability rate decreases by 4% and the incubation period is extended by 30 minutes for each additional day.
The suitable temperature for storing eggs is 12 °C ~ 16 °C. Store eggs with the head up. The eggs must be sterilized before they can be incubated, and the egg surface can be sprayed with 0.1% neo-ger solution, or soaked with 0.2% potassium permanganate solution for 2~3 minutes. When the eggs are incubated, they must be with their heads up.
4. Precautions during the order period
The process of transferring from the incubator to the hatching plate is called the falling plate, and the chicken embryo is generally 18~19 days old. The placing plate should be handled gently, and it is better to lay it flat in a single layer. Too dense and too thin is not good for hatching.
5. Precautions for hatching out of the shell
When breaking the shell and hatching, pick up the chicks every 5~6 hours, and pick out the chicks with good umbilicus shrinkage and dried fluff. The picked up chicks are placed in the brooding box or brooding basket, and then placed in a dark room at 22 °C ~ 25 °C, so that the chicks are fully rested and ready to be sold or shipped. Never crowd the pile to avoid death due to overcrowding.

6. Artificial birth assistance
Assisted delivery should be performed if the embryo is difficult to emerge. Assist to gently peel off the eggshell, pay attention to protect the blood vessels, such as too dry can be moistened with warm water and then peel off, once the embryo head and neck exposed, it is estimated that it can break free of the shell on its own, the assisted delivery can be stopped, do not forcibly peel off the eggshell.
