Brushing On Tin Cure Gypsum Statue Mold Making RTV2 Silicone Rubber
MCSIL-20series RTV2 silicone rubber is a kind of two-component material, that is the mold making silicone rubber made up of Part A base silicone and Part B curing agent. The mixed Part A base silicone and Part B curing agent can cure at room temperature by a condensation reaction, then become a silicone rubber mold that can be used for objects reproduction.
FEATURES1. Good flowability2. Long working time3. Medium hardness
4. High tear and tensile strength
5. Easy de-mould from complex replica parts
6. Acid and alkali-resistance
7. Low linear shrinkage
Technical Data
Applications MCSIL-20series RTV2 silicone rubber also can be applied in the reproduction of cement molding, concrete stones, artificial stones, plaster molding, figures, art objects, decoration molding, GRC products, gypsum products, resin products, PU molds. Etc.
How to make the silicone mold?
Cleaning The surface of the original should be clean and free of loose material. If your products with thin flower patterns, and especially with porous substrates, please use a suitable mold release agent such as soap water, detergent, Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Mixing Please weight 100 Part A base and 2 parts of Curing Agent in a clean container.Thoroughly stir Part A base silicone before use, as filler separation may occur upon prolonged storage. Mixing Part A and Part B evenly until the CA30 completely dispersed in the base. Hand or mechanical mixing can be used, but do not for an extended period of time or allow the temperature to exceed 35C (95F). Mix suitably small quantities to ensure thorough mixing of base and curing agent. It is strongly recommended that entrapped air be removed in a vacuum chamber, allowing the mix to completely expand and then collapse. After a further 1-2 mins under vacuum, the mix should be inspected and can be used if free of air bubbles. A volume increase of 3-5 times will occur on vacuum de-airing the mixture. So a suitably large container should be chosen. Pouring Pour the mixed Part A base silicone and part B the curing agent as soon as possible onto the original, avoiding air entrapment. The catalyzed material will cure to a flexible rubber within 6 hours (or faster by different mixing ratio or room temperature), we advice you de-mold after 24 hours, it is will improve the replicate times of silicone mold.
STORAGE When stored at or below 30 C (85F) in the original unopened containers, silicone base and CA30 Curing agent have a usable life of 12 months from the date of production. After 12 months stock, please use the Stir to mixing the Part A silicone for some mins, then the silicone can be use again, no influence for other performances.
Package: Part A base silicone: 5kg, 20kg/drum, 25kg/drum or 200kg/drum
Note: Silicone MCSIL series is an industrial product and must not be used in food contact and human skin molding applications.
