Description

The primary purpose of the GE E-Entropy module is to help anesthesiologists objectively assess the depth of a patient's anesthesia during surgery, thereby achieving precise anesthesia.

- Preventing Intraoperative Awareness: Ensuring patients are in a sufficiently deep state of anesthesia during surgery avoids situations where patients regain consciousness but are unable to move, causing significant psychological trauma.

- Preventing Overdose: Preventing excessive use of anesthetic drugs that can lead to delayed postoperative awakening, respiratory depression, or hypotension.

- Medication Guidance: Providing anesthesiologists with real-time, quantitative data support for adjusting the dosage of sedatives and analgesics.

Connect the module to the electrode pads using a GE M1050784 Entropy cable. The patient's EEG signals are transmitted to the module via the electrode pads and then displayed on the monitor's screen. Doctors can use the module to control the anesthetic gas, increasing or decreasing its concentration. The measurement board within the module is its most important component. It converts the received physiological signals into digital signals, transmits them back to the monitor, and then relays the doctor's corresponding actions back to the module, allowing doctors to directly control drug dosages and monitor the patient's condition in real time. Installation Steps:

- Wear an anti-static wrist strap and use an anti-static mat. Prepare a precision screwdriver (usually Phillips and flathead) to remove the module housing.

- Remove the screws from the module housing and carefully open the top cover. Note that there may be ribbon cables inside; do not force them open.

- The measurement board is located in the middle of the module. You can see it after opening the housing. Take a photo to record the wiring layout. Carefully disconnect the cables from the old board, remove the fixing screws, and take out the old board.

- Place the new measurement board on top, tighten the fixing screws, and connect all the cables according to the original connectors.

- Test without closing the housing, ensuring safety. After successful testing, close the housing to complete the replacement installation.
