► Brief Introduction

The ICC 200 is a high-frequency surgical unit for cutting and coagulation.

Unintentional activation of an HF generator can lead to burns on the patient if the active electrode hereby touches the patient directly or indirectly through electrically conductive objects or wetcloths.Unintentional activation of an HF generator can, for example, be caused by:

• Unintentionally pressing a foots witch pedal
• Unintentionally pressing a finger switch
• Defective finger switches, foots witches or cables
• Penetration of electrically conductive liquids (blood, amniotic fluid, urine, physiological saline solution, irrigation fluids etc.) into finger switches or foot switches.
• Errors within the high-frequency surgical unit.
