Description:

The salt spray test (or salt fog test) is a standardized and popular corrosion test method, used to check corrosion resistance of materials and surface coatings. Usually, the materials to be tested are metallic (although stone, ceramics, and polymers may also be tested) and finished with a surface coating which is intended to provide a degree of corrosion protection to the underlying metal.

Uses:

This machine has a standardized test method to check corrosion resistence of coated samples. Salt spray test is an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to the coated samples in order to predict its suitability in use as a protective finish. The appearance of corrosion products (oxides) is evaluated after a period of time. Test duration depends on the corrosion resistance of the coating; the more corrosion resistant the coating is, the longer the period in testing without showing signs of corrosion. Different coatings have different behaviour in salt spray test and consequently, test duration will differ from one type of coating to another.

Salt Spray Test Chamber Material:

1) Laboratory using PVC sheet, thickness 5 mm, the temperature reaches 80 degree Celsius;
2) Laboratory closure with high impact acrylic sheet, 6 mm thick;
3) Supplementary bottles of reagents attached to the water level perspective with hidden windows, clean easy, not easy to break;
4) Saturated air barrel using SUS #304 stainless steel barrel high pressure barrel insulation is best;
