Ultra-Thin LiTaO3 Wafer Z-Cut For Pyroelectric Infrared Detector
Lithium tantalite (LiTaO3) presents unique electrooptical, acoustic, piezoelectric, pyroelectric and non-linear optical properties, making it a suitable material for applications in pyroelectric infrared detector. The z-cut single crystal LiTaO3 shows more advantages as a new type of optical material than other traditional optical substrate materials, such as large pyroelectric coefficient, small dielectric constant, high curie temperature and uniformity of crystallinity. Ultra-thin lithium tantalate crystal (LiTaO3) was used as sensitive layer in high responsivity room temperature pyroelectric infrared detector.
For many years the pyroelectric material lithium tantalate (LiTaO3 ) has proved itself at use in pyroelectric detectors. It fulfils not only the demands on material characteristic quantities just mentioned but also stands out due to an excellent temperature stability and very good reproducibility of the detector performance.
