Separate handle with a notch to place the head into the vial for minimal handling and sampling;
100% polypropylene handle ensures no other contamination and has excellent chemical resistance

Total organic carbon content (<10μg/L, <10 ppb), ensuring that the TOC swab itself will not interfere with the test data; the pre-washed borosilicate glass bottle has an integrated bottle cap and septum design, which is convenient for sampling and analysis. Diaphragm Thickness - 1.34 mm (0.053") polyethylene cladding protects the diaphragm surface from contamination prior to analysis. The sloped shoulder design reduces the swab tip area and lowers total organic carbon. Approved for use by TOC instrument manufacturer.
 
TOC swab suite test procedure:
Confirm that equipment is clean and operators are wearing work clothes suitable for testing (clean gloves, face mask, gown, hairnet, clean environment).
 
Take a "clean" low TOC swab in the certified low TOC vial.
 
Fill the vial with 40 ml of ultrapure low TOC water and seal.
 
Vortex the vial for 15 sec.
 
Fill another certified low TOC vial with 40ml of ultra-pure, low TOC water, and seal. This will serve as a "blank control".
 
An instrument that runs a "control blank" vial and water level through a TOC test. The unit of measurement shall be μg/L.
 
Pass the vial and the swab inside through the TOC testing device. The unit of measurement shall be μg/L.
 
Subtract the "control blank" from the swab vial to get the final measurement. All measurements should be in μg/L. Our goal is less than 50μg/L.
