Introduction
Basic requirements for lubricants
(1) Good adhesion, the lubricant can effectively adhere to the surface of the drawn wire. (2) It can bear the high pressure between wire rod and die, and has good thermal stability. (3) No corrosion. (4) Good cooling effect. (5) No pungent smell. (6) Easy to remove after drawing.
Lubrication type
(1) Dispersed lubrication of single die groove It is mainly used for one-time wire drawing machine or non sliding accumulation multi-mode wire drawing machine. It has no limit on the form of lubricant. The circulating water in the mold groove plays the role of cooling. Since the die groove is open, the lubricant condition can be directly observed for easy adjustment. However, it is easy to dirty the equipment and site.
(2) Immersion lubrication It is suitable for sliding continuous drawing machine by using emulsion strong and liquid oil like lubricant. The lubricant is contained in the special groove of the wire drawing machine, and the drum, line segment and die are immersed in the lubricant. The structure is simple and can ensure the continuous lubrication and cooling of the die, drum and wire rod.
Its disadvantage is that the metal chips produced in the wire drawing process are not likely to precipitate, and are constantly brought into the die hole and drum, affecting the service life of the die and drum, as well as the quality of the wire surface. The lubricating groove needs a cooling device to prevent the temperature of the lubricating fluid from being too high.
(3) Circulating lubrication system On the sliding continuous wire drawing machine, ensure that the lubricating fluid has a fixed composition and a certain temperature, which can be used alone or several wire drawing machines. Its advantage is that the metal chips in the lubricating fluid can be fully precipitated and cleaned regularly, which can ensure the cleanliness of the lubricating fluid. Its disadvantage is to analyze the lubricating fluid irregularly and supplement the lubricant in time.
