Ferritin Rapid Quantitative Blood Test with CE at Home Ferritin is a versatile intracellular protein that stores iron and
releases it in a controlled manner. This protein is produced by
almost all living organisms, including algae, bacteria, higher
plants, and animals. In humans, it can act as a buffer for iron
deficiency and iron overload. Ferritin is present as a cytosolic
protein in most tissues, but a small amount of ferritin is secreted
into serum as a siderophore. Plasma ferritin is also an indirect
marker of the total amount of iron stored in the body. Therefore,
serum ferritin is used as a diagnostic test for iron deficiency

(4-30°C, do not freeze) for 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Keep the test cassette in sealed pouch until use. Once you have

as possible (within 1 hour) to avoid test cassette from becoming
moist
