From the perspective of cost, customers generally use Q235B steel ground structure. Of course, magnesium aluminum zinc plating and Q355 material have become more and more popular in the past two years.

From the technical point of view, the deflection deformation of the structure is related to the shape and size of the profile and the elastic modulus (an inherent parameter of the material), but not directly related to the strength of the material. Under the same conditions, the deformation of aluminum alloy profile is 2.9 times of steel, and the weight is 35% of steel. In terms of cost, under the same weight, aluminum is 3 times of steel. Therefore, steel is generally superior to aluminum alloy profiles in strong wind areas, large spans, and cost.

At present, hot-dip galvanizing (65-80um) is the main anti-corrosion method of the support. Steel under ordinary conditions (C1-C4 environment), 80 um galvanized thickness can guarantee the use for more than 20 years, but in high humidity industrial areas or high salinity seashore or even temperate sea water, the corrosion rate is accelerated, and the galvanized amount needs 100 um and requires regular maintenance every year.
