hard than that of cold rolled bar. It is easy to weld, machine, and
can be heat treated to harden the material further. Cold rolled
flat bar is a 1018 steel alloy that has superior machining
properties to hot roll. Cold rolled flat bar is excellent for
welding, machining, and fabricating and offers tighter tolerances,
a smoother surface finish than hot rolled bar, and closer
dimensional accuracy. Typical applications include general
fabrication, shafting, axles, dowels, spindles, etc. |
