Designed for overcurrent protection applications, the INA300 is a current sensing comparator that detects overcurrent by measuring the voltage developed across a shunt resistor and comparing this voltage to a threshold voltage input level. The device measures this differential voltage signal over a common-mode voltage range of 0V to 36V, independent of the supply voltage. INA300 devices have an adjustable threshold range that is set by a single external limit-setting resistor. An optional hysteresis feature adjusts comparator operation to accommodate a wide input signal range from 0mV to 250mV.
