Hot dipped GI steel sheet & coil is made of carbon steel which
is coated in zinc using the hot-dip process. This leads to a layer
of zinc on both sides of the steel sheet or coil which is strongly
connected to the steel by way of an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer.
This bonding layer is created through a diffusion process and
requires the steel to be exposed to molten zinc while the steel is
