Product Description:

Material: Usually made of carbon steel and other materials, it has high strength and corrosion resistance, enabling it to withstand the high pressure in the hydraulic system.

Structure: Generally, it adopts a bladder type structure, which consists of an oil part and a gas part with a gas sealing element. The oil around the bladder is connected to the oil circuit, and the compressible nature of the gas (usually nitrogen) is utilized to store and release energy.

Specifications: Volvo accumulators come in a variety of specifications to adapt to different application scenarios and system requirements, such as different volume and working pressure ratings. Common volume specifications include 0.075L, 0.16L, 0.32L, 0.5L, 0.75L, 1L, 1.4L, 2L, 2.8L, 3.5L, etc., and the working pressure can reach up to 33MPa.

Energy Storage and Release: In the hydraulic system, when the system pressure rises, the oil enters the accumulator, and the gas is compressed, converting the hydraulic energy into the internal energy of the gas for storage. When the system pressure drops, the compressed air expands, forcing the oil into the circuit and releasing the energy to make up for the energy shortage in the system, thus playing a role in stabilizing the system pressure.

Absorption of Hydraulic Shock: It can effectively absorb the pressure shock generated in the hydraulic system due to sudden reversal of the directional valve, sudden stop of the actuator movement, and other reasons, protecting the instruments, components, and sealing devices in the system, and reducing vibration and noise.

Elimination of Pulsation: For hydraulic systems using piston pumps with a small number of pistons, it can absorb the pulsating pressure and the energy in the flow generated by the periodic change of the pump flow, reduce the pulsation, and minimize the damage to sensitive instruments and equipment.

Emergency Energy Source: In some special cases, such as engine flameout or hydraulic pump failure, the accumulator can serve as an emergency energy source, providing a certain amount of pressurized oil for the system, enabling the working device to be safely lowered or perform other necessary operations to ensure the safety of the machine.
