Heat Exchanger Working principle Brazed plate heat exchanger is a commonly used heat exchange
equipment, its working principle is as follows:
1. Principle overview
Brazed plate heat exchanger is composed of a series of parallel
arranged metal plates, the plates are connected by brazing
technology, the fluid flows alternately between the plate and the
plate, and the heat is transferred directly through the surface of
the plate to achieve the transfer of heat.
2. Fluid flow
During the working process, the cold and hot fluids enter through
different sides of the plate heat exchanger, respectively, called
the hot side and the cold side, the hot fluid is usually a
high-temperature fluid (such as hot water, steam, etc.) and the
cold fluid is usually a low-temperature fluid (such as cold water,
coolant, etc.).
3. Heat transfer
The hot fluid flows between the plates on the hot side,
transferring heat to the plate, which then transfers heat through
the surface of the plate to the cold fluid. The cold fluid flows
between the plates on the cold side, absorbing heat to transfer
heat from the hot fluid to the cold fluid. In this way, the
temperature of the hot fluid decreases and the temperature of the
