1: Material
Backing Material:
Polyester: Many high-quality Stucco tapes use polyester as the
backing material. The polyester material has high strength and
toughness, can withstand a certain amount of tension and friction,
and is not easy to break, ensuring that the tape can remain intact
during the construction process and provide stable support for the
viscous layer.
Polyethylene: Some stucco tapes use polyethylene as the backing
material. Polyethylene has good flexibility and water resistance,
allowing the tape to adapt to different shapes of the surface, and
effectively resist moisture penetration, suitable for wet
environments or may come into contact with water construction
scenarios.
adhesive: Pressure-sensitive adhesive is usually used. This
adhesive can be closely combined with the surface of the adhesive
when a certain pressure is applied to form a firm adhesive force.
The advantages of pressure-sensitive adhesive are that it does not
require additional heating or solvent treatment, is easy to
operate, and can maintain good viscosity under various temperature
and humidity conditions, ensuring that the tape can be reliably
pasted in different environments.
2: Features
Waterproof and moisture-proof: Due to the characteristics of its
backing material and adhesive, stucco tape has excellent waterproof
and moisture-proof properties. It can effectively prevent water
penetration into the plaster or other building materials, prevent
material damage, mold and other problems caused by water intrusion,
and extend the service life of the building surface.
Uv resistance: In order to adapt to the outdoor construction
environment, stucco tape has good UV resistance. Long-term exposure
to the sun, will not be due to ultraviolet radiation and rapid
aging, fading or brittle, can maintain its physical properties and
viscosity, to ensure long-term outdoor use of stable performance.
Strong adhesion and easy tearing: on the one hand, the pressure
sensitive adhesive gives the tape a strong adhesion, so that it can
firmly adhere to wood, metal, plastic, brick and other surfaces,
and will not easily fall off during the construction process. On
the other hand, the tape is easy to tear, without the aid of tools,
it can be easily torn by hand, and the tear is neat, which is
convenient for construction personnel to cut the appropriate length
and width according to actual needs, and improve construction
efficiency.
Good adaptability: whether it is a flat surface or a complex
surface with a certain curvature and roughness, the plaster tape
can fit well. Its soft material can be deformed with the surface
shape, ensuring that it can be tightly pasted in a variety of
construction scenarios to achieve the ideal shielding and fixing
effect.
No residual glue: After the construction is completed, when the
tape needs to be removed, it will not leave a difficult to clean
the adhesive surface, will not cause pollution or damage to the
building surface, there is no need to spend a lot of extra time and
energy to clean up, to ensure that the building surface is clean
and beautiful.
3. Application scenario
Building construction - Stucco: During the stucco construction
process, stucco tape is used to shield areas that do not need to be
stucco, such as door and window borders, corners, decorative
molding, etc. It can precisely define the application scope, so
that the plaster edge is neat, the lines are clear, and the
construction is beautiful. At the same time, when applying multiple
layers of plaster, the tape can also play the role of temporary
fixation and separation, ensuring that the level between the layers
of plaster is clear.
Exterior Wall Insulation System (EIFS) : When installing exterior
wall insulation panels and applying finishes, stucco tape can be
used to secure the joints between the panels, preventing the
insulation material from shifting and shielding the finish
construction area. It can effectively resist the influence of
external environmental factors on the insulation system and enhance
the stability and durability of the insulation system.
Building repair and maintenance: When the building surface cracks,
damage, etc., need to be repaired, stucco tape can be used to
temporarily fix repair materials, such as mesh, patches, etc., to
ensure that the repair material remains stable during the curing
process. At the same time, when the building is partially repainted
or repaired, the surrounding intact area is covered with tape to
avoid contamination and damage during the repair process.
Interior decoration: In interior decoration, if it involves the use
of plaster or similar materials for wall and ceiling decoration,
plaster tape can also play its shielding and protection role. For
example, when making characteristic wall textures and installing
decorative components, tape is used to protect the surrounding
area, making the decoration effect more refined.
