PETRO Ptfe Tape Petrol Resistant Rolls 50mmx10mtr ISO Certified
|
Product Description:The CNPetro Petrolatum Tape is a product specifically designed for pipeline coating. This corrosion-resistant tape is ideal for use on various pipeline components, including house connections and fittings. However, it is particularly effective for more complex parts like T-Pieces, especially when used with petroleum filling material. The tape is made of a chemical fiber-based material (such as non-woven) that is coated with modified petroleum on both sides. The CNPetro Petrolatum Tape is highly adhesive and elastic, and it has a high softening point. This combination of properties makes it ideal for use in environments where temperature fluctuations are frequent and could cause other types of tape to lose their adhesive properties or become brittle. In order to provide maximum protection, our petroleum tape is wrapped with an outer layer of mechanical protection. This double layer of protection ensures that your pipeline components are securely covered and protected against all types of damage. Technical Parameters:The average thickness of the material, as determined by ASTM D1000 testing, is 1.15 mm. On average, the material weighs 1.50 kg per square meter. The breaking strength of the material must meet a minimum requirement of 200 N/50mm, as tested according to ASTM D1000. The material has an average water vapor transmission of 0.006 perms, as determined by ASTM E96 - 66 Procedure A. On average, the material can elongate up to 10% at time of breakage. The material must have a minimum breakdown voltage of 16 kV at 55% overlap. The material has an average resistance to cathodic disbonding of 180 mm2 after 30 days of testing, as specified in ASTM G-8. The material has excellent resistance to acids, alkalies, and salts. The maximum service temperature for this material is 55°C. The material is available in roll widths ranging from 50 to 300 mm, and a single roll measures 10 m in length. Applications:Before applying any protective coating, it's important to properly prepare the surfaces. This involves removing any loose scale, rust, or other foreign matter. This can be done in accordance with SSPC SP2 "Hand Tool Cleaning" or SP3 "Power Tool Cleaning". Additionally, a high pressure water wash of 3,000 - 7,000 psi (20.68 - 48.26 MPa) can also be used as an effective method of surface preparation. After the surfaces have been properly prepared, the next step is to apply a thin film of petroleum paste. Once the paste is applied, the tape can be spirally wrapped around the surface. It's important to ensure that there is a 55% overlap and that air pockets are pressed out during the wrapping process to ensure a smooth finish. Additionally, all lap seams should be smoothed for optimal protection. In cases where surfaces are irregular, such as valves or flanges, petroleum filler mastic or profiling mastic may be required. These products can help to provide a smooth surface for the application of the tape. Finally, once the tape has been applied, PVC tape can be used as an outerwrap for mechanical protection. Be sure to refer to the product sheets for additional information on application and product selection. |
