Among the grades covered are H grades and nitrogen grades that are specifically intended for high-temperature service. The "H" in TP347H denotes its suitability for high-temperature applications. Controlled higher carbon content (the "H" grade) and the addition of niobium (Nb) as a stabilizing element provide outstanding creep rupture strength and long-term stress rupture strength under prolonged service at elevated temperatures (typically above 525°C), making it an ideal choice for high-pressure boiler superheater and reheater tubes.
The high chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) content promotes the formation of a stable, dense chromia oxide layer, granting excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in high-temperature flue gas and steam environments, resulting in extended service life.
Niobium (Nb) preferentially combines with carbon (C) to form stable niobium carbides (NbC). This effectively prevents chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries, thereby entirely eliminating the risk of intergranular corrosion due to "sensitization" after welding or exposure to high-temperature service.
Manufactured using a seamless process, it removes the longitudinal weld seam—a potential weak point. The pipe wall has uniform thickness and continuous material structure, ensuring superior structural integrity and higher safety reliability under extreme conditions of high temperature and pressure. 3.
