High Performance Liquid Mold Release Agent for Slush Molding Process

Introduction of slush molding process:

Slush molding, also known as coating molding, is a process for molding hollow products. Slush can be used to make hollow soft products such as toys, and can also produce car dashboards. The advantages of slush molding are low equipment cost, high production speed, simple process control, but the accuracy of product thickness, quality (weight) and so on is poor.

The commonly used plastic lining material is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). When molding, pour the plastic paste into the open hollow mold until the specified capacity is reached. The mold should be heated before or after loading, and the paste plastic close to the inner wall of the mold cavity will gel due to heat. When the gel reaches a predetermined thickness, the excess liquid material is poured out, and then heated to melt it, and the product can be stripped from the mold after cooling.

Application:

1. The mold should be thoroughly cleaned.
2. Mold cleaning and release agent application should be performed in a well ventilated area.
3. Apply a thin coat at process temperature. It is recommended to apply at least two coats at the beginning.
4. After a short drying time it is ready to make production.
5. Reapply a light coat when necessary.

Handling precautions:

   For industrial use only.
   Prolonged skin contact with high concentrate dilutions should be avoided. Accidental splashes in the eye should be washed out with copious        amounts of water.
