The LAN9221I-ABZJ is a 10/100 Ethernet Physical Layer Transceiver that features low power dissipation and small package size. The device supports both 10Mbps and 100Mbps data rates and provides a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) compatibility compliant with IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at. The device has built-in automatic MDI/MDIX crossover, which eliminates the need for expensive external cross-over cables or complex board layout design. It also provides a low power-down mode which allows the system to save power during idle periods.
