The H8S/2426 Group, H8S/2426R Group, and H8S/2424 Group are CISC (Complex Instruction Set Computer) microprocessors that integrate an H8S/2600 CPU core, which has an internal 16-bit architecture and is upward-compatible with Renesas Technology original H8/300, H8/300H, and H8S CPUs.
The on-chip peripheral functions provided for enabling system configuration at a low cost are the DMA controller, EXDMA controller*, data transfer controller, serial communication interface, I2C bus interface 2, synchronous serial communication unit, A/D converter, D/A converter, and various timers. On-chip ROM is flash memory whose size is 256 Kbytes and 128 Kbytes.
