The FET-9HS portable flaw detector is a versatile and compact
device designed for both online and offline inspection of metal
pipes, including steel pipes, aluminum pipes, heat exchanger tubes,
and condenser components. Equipped with an internal insertion-type
probe, it effectively identifies various defects on the inner
surfaces of pipes. The system features a relatively independent
testing channel capable of driving a combined probe consisting of
absolute and differential coils. This enables simultaneous data
acquisition for detecting longitudinal cracks and transverse flaws
(e.g., seams) that may occur during the production process. The
FET-9HS demonstrates high sensitivity to axial defects such as
hidden cracks and open fractures. Furthermore, it reliably detects
cracks and damage caused by equipment malfunctions during
manufacturing. Signals captured by the detection channel are
displayed in real-time on the screen as impedance plane diagrams
and time-base scanning graphs, providing intuitive visualization of
results. The FET-9HS is adaptable to the inspection requirements of
diverse metallic pipe materials. Leveraging its fully digital
architecture, it supports the creation of multiple standardized
detection programs or expert systems within the instrument,
facilitating seamless transitions when changing product
specifications. Additionally, it includes input and output control
interfaces, enabling integration with various devices at the
inspection site for synchronized operation, thus forming a highly
automated system.
