Water circulates in the coils of a closed cooling tower. The heat from the fluid inside is absorbed by the wall of the coil, and then it is exhausted out by the fan located at the top of the tower. If the temperature of the circulating water inside the coils is too high (it has exceeded the set temperature), then the spray system will automatically activate. Water will be sprayed onto the hot and damp coil wall to form a water film, which will absorb the heat of the coils and vaporize. The vapor is carried away by the flowing air, leaving the unevaporated water droplets to fall back into the collection tank for recycling. This circulation of water in the coils is completed within a closed loop with minimal water consumption. Additionally, the consumption of spray water is also very low.
