Key Functions of Sidewalls
- Material Containment - Prevents bulk materials (e.g., granules, powders, or uneven
loads) from falling off the belt, especially on inclined or
declined conveyors.
- Support for Cleats/Buckets - Reinforces the structure when used with cleats or elevators for
steep-angle conveying.
- Belt Tracking - Helps guide the belt, reducing misalignment and improving
operational stability.
- Enhanced Load Capacity - Allows higher material volume by creating a "trough" effect when
paired with a flat or cleated belt.
- Dust/Contaminant Control - Minimizes material leakage, improving cleanliness and safety in
industrial environments.
Common applications include mining, agriculture, food processing, and packaging systems where spillage prevention and efficient material handling are
critical.
The sidewalls have different characteristics.
White/blue: non-toxic, antibacterial, FDA food grade,use for food
delivery. It could be pure PU without fabric.
Green & Other colors: apply to all which don't need to meet the
food grade belts
