RF Admittance Level Switch
This product series is a fundamentally intelligent radio frequency
capacitive level controller. Based on the capacitive principle,
this series offers excellent performance with advantages such as
good stability, high measurement accuracy, and wide applicability.
Compared to traditional level switches, this series features a
modular design and a liquid crystal display (LCD) debugging module.
It requires no external auxiliary equipment and can
automatically acquire and display the measured material values,
providing users with more reliable measurement data. The LCD
debugging module has dual functions of debugging and display,
allowing users to easily and intuitively read all the necessary
data, simplifying the debugging process.
Detailed Instructions:
Empty Bin Adjustment, Do Not Touch the Sensing Rod
1. Before debugging, please check the circuit connections to ensure
they are correct:
a. Turn the fine adjustment and coarse adjustment knobs clockwise
to the end (as shown in the figure);
b. Turn the delay switch knob counterclockwise to the end (no
delay);
c. Adjust the coarse adjustment knob counterclockwise until the
probe indicator light just turns red, then slightly adjust it back
until the indicator light just turns green. Do not touch the coarse
adjustment knob again;
d. Adjust the fine adjustment knob counterclockwise until the
indicator light turns red, then slightly adjust it back until the
indicator light just turns green; Please do not forcefully adjust
the knobs on the panel to avoid damaging the instrument;
2. H (High) Level and L (Low) Level Fault Alarm:
a. H (High) level fault alarm: When the probe detects that there is
no material in the bin, a high-level alarm will occur, COM/NO
closes, and COM/NC opens;
b. L (Low) level fault alarm: When the probe detects that there is
no material in the bin, a low-level alarm will occur, COM/NO opens,
and COM/NC closes; The high and low level alarms can be set by the
jumper on the panel;
3. Delay Setting:
Using the delay setting can prevent the relay from "jittering" due
to the stirring of materials in the bin. The maximum delay time for
CK201K is 30 seconds (use the smallest possible delay);
Basic Parameters
1. Power Supply: 220VAC 50Hz or 24VDC (24VDC is recommended);
2. Relay Contacts: 2 sets of SPDT, 5A 220VAC;
3. Material: Sensing rod: SUS304/316, Insulation sheath: PP or
Teflon;
4. Sensitivity: 0.5pf~750pf;
5. Operating Temperature: Probe operating temperature range:
-184℃~260℃, Circuit part temperature resistance: -40℃~80℃;
6. Connection Thread: 1” NPT or 1”PF;
7. Delay Time: 0~30s adjustable;
Working Principle
The radio frequency admittance level switch is based on radio
frequency capacitance technology: a radio frequency is applied to
the probe, continuously analyzing the surrounding environment.
Since the dielectric constant and conductivity of all media
are different from air, the small change in capacitance caused when
the probe comes into contact with the medium is detected by the
circuit and converted into a switch signal output. Its unique
anti-adhesion circuit only responds to changes in capacitance
caused by changes in material level, thus eliminating false signals
caused by material accumulation. Installation and Operating
Instructions
1. When the probe is installed horizontally, it should be angled
downwards at 20° to the horizontal plane to reduce material impact
and increase sensing sensitivity;
2. When the probe is installed through the container wall, the
protective sleeve (insulating part) should be 2 inches longer than
the thickness of the accumulated material on the container wall;
3. To prevent rainwater from entering the junction box in outdoor
environments, the cable entry point must be vertically downwards
when installed horizontally;
4. During installation, the angle of repose formed by the
accumulated material when the measured medium is not fed from the
center of the silo should be fully considered;
5. Confirm that the power supply voltage is the same as the voltage
of the selected product. Connect the cables according to the wiring
diagram and the markings on the terminal block. After connecting,
tighten the junction box cover;
6. The control circuit load must not exceed the load capacity (use
less than the relay capacity). Note: Do not use any lubricant on
the threaded connection between the probe and the container wall.
If necessary, Teflon tape can be used for sealing. In this case,
the installer should check the circuit with a multimeter and ensure
that the resistance between the container wall and the probe is
less than 1 ohm!
Precautions
1. Ensure the junction box is sealed;
2. Regularly check that all components are securely connected;
3. For rod lengths greater than 500mm, top mounting should be used
whenever possible to prevent bending and malfunction;
4. GND is the ground wire.
