The electroless nickel process delivers ±2 micron uniform coating on all surfaces including blind holes and internal threads, with support for non-standard pitch customization to meet specialized fastening requirements.

In electronic equipment, press nuts are commonly used in sheet metal enclosures or PCB brackets. Standard electroplating struggles to form uniform coatings in deep holes or internal threads, potentially causing thread dimension overshoot or localized corrosion. Electroless nickel is a current-less chemical deposition process that provides uniform coating thickness across all surfaces with no tip effect or shadowing in holes.
