Single Screw Sand Washer 1.Product Introduction The Single Screw Sand Washer is a high-efficiency mechanical device
that utilizes rotating spiral blades within a water tank to wash,
classify, and dewater sand and gravel materials. Its core structure
includes an inclined U-shaped tank, a single spiral blade mounted
on a central shaft, a reduction gear unit, and a motor drive
system. Materials enter from the lower end of the tank and are
pushed forward by the agitation of the spiral blades, ensuring
thorough contact with water to separate impurities. Known for its
compact structure and stable operation, it is ideal for
medium-to-large-scale aggregate processing scenarios. 2.Application The single screw sand washer is widely used in industrial sectors
requiring deep cleaning and classification of aggregates,
including: Construction & Infrastructure: Cleaning concrete aggregates for highways, railways, bridges, and
municipal projects. Aggregate Production: Washing, desliming, and dewatering manufactured sand (M-sand) and
natural sand. Hydropower Engineering: Pre-treatment of sand and gravel for concrete precast yards at
dams and levees. Mining & Mineral Processing: Cleaning ores such as iron, manganese, and gold to remove clay
and fine silt.
3.Working Principle - Material Feeding & Submergence: Raw sand and gravel enter from the front of the water tank and are
submerged in water.
- Spiral Agitation & Lifting: The motor drives the central shaft via a reducer, causing the
spiral blades to rotate at a steady speed. This continuously stirs,
scrubs, and slowly lifts the material along the incline.
- Classification & Separation: Leveraging the difference in specific gravity (sand particles
settle quickly due to high density, while clay and dust settle
slowly), impurities are carried by the water flow and discharged
through the overflow weir at the rear. Clean sand is pushed toward
the discharge outlet.
- Dewatering & Output: The washed material is dewatered at the discharge end before being
expelled from the machine, achieving an integrated washing,
classification, and dewatering process.
4.Advantages High Cleaning Efficiency: The continuous agitation of the spiral blades combined with
hydraulic action effectively strips clay, dust, and organic
impurities from the sand surface, reducing silt content to below 0.5%. Reliable Structure & Easy Maintenance: Equipped with a fully enclosed oil-bath transmission system and
an optimized seal design, the unit minimizes failure rates and
significantly extends its service life. Optimal Processing Capacity: The single-screw design strikes a perfect balance between
efficiency and power consumption. It is ideal for medium-scale
production lines, with a typical capacity of 20–130 tons per hour. Water & Energy Saving: By utilizing a water recycling system, the unit maintains low
water consumption. With motor power ranging from 3–22kW, it offers highly economical operating costs. Strong Adaptability: Capable of processing materials with particle sizes from 0–30mm, it ensures minimal loss of fine sand and is compatible with a
wide variety of raw materials.
