pH Stable Efficient Thickener Natural Hair Care Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose
Company Profile Shanghai Prior Chemical Scientific And Technical Co.LTD. (Grade A
Tax Credit) was established in 2016. Leveraging China North
Industries Group Corporation (NORINCO GROUP) resources, the company
trades -industrial materials including hydroxyethyl cellulose
(HEC), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), sodium carboxymethyl
cellulose (CMC), ethyl cellulose (EC), and nitrocellulose (NC). The company independently manufactures integrated nail-fastening products and holds equity in ammonium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-NH4) production and marketing. It holds nearly 70% domestic market share in HPMC for automotive exhaust honeycomb ceramics. HEC - Introduction
Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) Applications As a nonionic surfactant, hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) not only thickens, suspends, binds, emulsifies, forms films, disperses, retains moisture, and provides protection, it also possesses the following properties: 1. HEC is soluble in hot or cold water and does not precipitate at high temperatures or boiling, giving it a wide range of solubility and viscosity characteristics: it is non-thermal gelling. 2. Its nonionic nature allows it to coexist with a wide range of other water-soluble polymers, surfactants, and salts, making it an excellent colloidal thickener for solutions containing high electrolyte concentrations. 3. Its water-retention capacity is double that of methyl cellulose, and it exhibits excellent flow control. 4. This product offers stable viscosity, mildew resistance, and provides excellent can-opening properties and leveling during application.
Applications: 1. In water-based latex coatings: HEC, as a protective colloid, can be used in vinyl acetate emulsion polymerization to improve the stability of the polymerization system over a wide pH range. It also ensures uniform dispersion of additives such as pigments and fillers during finished product manufacturing, stabilizing and providing a thickening effect. It can also be used as a dispersant in suspension polymers such as styrene, acrylates, and propylene. It significantly improves thickening and leveling properties in latex paints. 2. Oil Drilling: HEC acts as a thickener in various muds required for well setting, cementing, and fracturing operations, enhancing fluidity and stability. This improves the mud's carrying capacity during drilling and prevents large amounts of water from entering the oil reservoir, thereby stabilizing the reservoir's production capacity. 3. Construction and Building Materials: Due to its strong water-retention capacity, HEC is an effective thickener and binder for mortar. Adding it to mortar improves fluidity and workability, prolongs water evaporation time, increases initial concrete strength, and prevents cracking. It can be used in plastering, bonding, and plaster putty, significantly improving water retention and bonding strength. 4. Toothpaste: 5. Water-based Ink: HEC makes ink dry quickly and impermeable. HEC is also widely used in textile printing and dyeing, papermaking, and household chemicals. Designation of product type Hydroxyethyl Cellulose's product type is made of application fields
