Detailed Product Description
Clog-Resistant DTF Cyan Ink | Stable Flow For High-Speed Printing & Solid Color Coverage
Features

This cyan ink delivers high-saturation primary color performance, accurately reproducing blue tones from design files and presenting vivid colors on dark fabrics when printed over a white base. Featuring anti-sedimentation technology, it remains stable and ready for use even after prolonged storage, ensuring reliable high-speed printing without clogging or break-offs. Once cured, the ink bonds firmly with fibers, offering excellent wash-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and UV-resistant properties to maintain lasting color brilliance. Whether used independently, blended for custom shades, or printed alongside white ink, it provides a dependable and professional color solution for your creative projects.

Print Substrate

This cyan ink is engineered for exceptional performance across a wide range of textiles. It delivers vibrant, consistent color on cotton, polyester, blends, denim, and fleece—whether printing on light or dark fabrics (with a white base layer). The ink maintains its rich hue and durability after washing and wear, ensuring your designs stay sharp and true on everything from everyday apparel to performance wear and specialty items.

FAQs:
Q: Can I achieve a specific blue shade like "Klein Blue" or "Oxford Blue" directly with this blue ink?
A: No, not directly. This blue ink is the standard "Process Blue" used in four-color printing, serving as a foundational color for color reproduction and mixing. If you require a highly precise spot color (such as a specific blue from the Pantone Matching System), we recommend using our ink as a base and then performing color matching and proofing with professional software, or opting for our spot color ink service.
Q: Will the same blue design look different when printed on cotton versus polyester?
A: There may be a slight variation. Due to the higher absorbency of cotton fibers, colors may appear slightly more subdued and soft. In contrast, the hydrophobic nature of polyester fibers often makes colors appear brighter and more saturated. This is a result of the fabric's inherent physical properties. For orders requiring strict color consistency, we advise conducting test prints on different fabrics first.
Q: Is the blue ink more prone to clogging the printhead? Does it require more frequent cleaning compared to other colors?
A: No, it is not. Its physical stability is consistent with other color inks. Following the printer's normal maintenance cycle (such as daily automatic cleaning during startup and shutdown) is sufficient. The only point to note is that if the printer is idle for an extended period (over one week), it is recommended to flush the blue ink from the ink lines back into the bottle using dedicated cleaning fluid, as its pigment particles may settle slightly more readily than other colors when stagnant.
Q: Can I use this blue ink to print a fully blue design on a dark-colored T-shirt?
A: Yes, but it requires a two-step process. First, a layer of white ink must be printed as a base in the areas where blue is intended to appear. Then, the blue ink is printed over the white base. Printing blue directly onto dark fabric will cause the color to be absorbed and appear dull or darkened, failing to achieve a vibrant result.
Q: How long will a design printed with blue ink last before fading when exposed to outdoor sunlight?
A: In our accelerated lightfastness testing, printed designs maintained over 90% color retention after 400 hours of simulated intense sunlight exposure (xenon lamp aging test). Under normal conditions of daily wear and washing, colors typically remain vibrant for 1–2 years before very gradual natural fading begins. For applications requiring extremely high weather resistance, we recommend using coated fabrics or applying a protective laminate finish after printing.
