What is Stainless Steel 304 Seamless Pipe?
Stainless Steel 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless
steel grade, known for its excellent formability, weldability, and
corrosion resistance. When manufactured as a seamless pipe (per
ASTM A312 TP304), the product contains no longitudinal weld seam,
eliminating the risk of weld-related failures in critical service
conditions.
The seamless manufacturing process involves heating a solid
stainless steel billet and piercing it to create a hollow tube,
which is then rolled and drawn to achieve precise dimensions. This
results in a pipe with uniform wall thickness, superior mechanical
properties, and complete material homogeneity.
