How to Install


Method 1: In-Ground / Dig-In Installation

[Applicable Scenario] Soft ground surfaces such as gardens, lawns, soil, or sandy ground. This is the most stable method for outdoor fencing.

  1. Measurement, Layout, and Alignment: Stretch a string line according to the standard span of the fence (typically 1.8 m) to mark the exact center point of each post. Precision in spacing is critical; otherwise, the fence boards will not fit into the post slots.

  2. Digging Post Holes: Dig foundation holes at the marked locations. Standard requirement: Hole diameter is generally 300 mm, with a depth of 500 mm - 600 mm (in cold regions, the depth must extend below the frost line).

  3. Setting Posts and Pouring Concrete: Insert the WPC posts (or composite posts with internal steel/aluminum reinforcements) into the holes. Pour in mixed concrete (Grade C20 or above). Key Step: Use a spirit level to repeatedly check and adjust the post in two vertical directions to ensure it is 100% plumb.

  4. Curing and Waiting: Temporarily secure the leveled posts with bracing timber and allow the concrete to cure. Typically, a waiting period of 24 to 48 hours is required to ensure the concrete has fully hardened before proceeding with board assembly.

Method 2: Bolt-Down with Base Plate

[Applicable Scenario] Pre-hardened ground surfaces such as concrete slabs, concrete foundations, or brick/stone patios.

  1. Positioning and Marking: Align the string line on the hardened ground. Determine the exact position of the post base plates based on the net length of the fence board (e.g., 1750 mm plus the post slot depth). Mark the drill holes through the base plate using a marker.

  2. Drilling: Use an impact drill equipped with a drill bit that matches the expansion anchors (usually 12 mm or 14 mm in diameter). Drill vertically into the concrete to a depth of 80 mm - 100 mm. Clean out all dust and debris from the holes.

  3. Installing and Securing the Metal Base: Align the galvanized steel or aluminum post support base over the drilled holes. Insert the metal expansion anchor bolts or chemical anchors, and tighten them securely using a socket wrench to anchor the base firmly to the concrete.

  4. Sleeving the WPC Post: Slide the outer hollow WPC post sleeve from top to bottom over the fixed metal base plate, then lock the inner and outer layers together at the bottom using self-tapping screws.
