ED Type Silicon Carbide Rod instructions: 1.The phenomenon of increasing resistance over time during the use
of silicon carbide rods is called aging. Aging of the rod will
cause a decrease in furnace temperature 3.During power transmission, the voltage should gradually increase. It is advisable to start with half of the rated voltage to prevent rapid temperature rise. Avoid overloading during power transmission. 4.Continuous use of silicon carbide rods can improve their lifespan. 5.Silicon carbon rods are hard and brittle, so special care should be taken during loading, unloading, and transportation. 6.Silicon carbon rods should be placed in a dry place to prevent the aluminum head from getting damp and deteriorating. The heated workpiece should not contain excessive moisture and should be dried in advance to avoid affecting the lifespan of the rod. If it is a new kiln or a kiln that has not been used for a long time, old rods must be used for kiln drying, and new rods should be avoided. 7.Silicon carbon rods become brittle and shorten their lifespan when used in hydrogen gas. 8.Silicon carbide rods can corrode when in contact with alkali metals, alkalis, silicates, borides, etc., so it is important to avoid contact between them and the rod body. 9.The silicon carbide rod wire clamp should be in close contact with the aluminum head at the cold end of the rod body. 10.If the silicon carbide rod is found to be broken or burnt during use, it should be replaced with a new rod in case of emergency. To avoid affecting the service life of other rods.
