Professional Convex Road Marking Line Coating Thermoplastic Powder
Paint
Product
Description
Convex Road Marking Line Paint refers to a specific type of thermoplastic road marking material
designed to be applied in a way that enhances visibility and
durability. This product typically comes in powder form, which is then heated and applied as a convex (raised) marking, making it more prominent for drivers, especially
at night or in low-visibility conditions. Application Process for Convex Thermoplastic Powder Paint:Surface Preparation: - Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and oil, as
these can prevent proper adhesion.
- For optimal adhesion, the surface may need to be dry and slightly
roughened.
Heating the Thermoplastic Powder Paint: - The thermoplastic powder needs to be heated to a specific
temperature (around 375°F–400°F / 190°C–200°C) using specialized
equipment like a melting pot or striping machine with an integrated
heater.
Application of Powder: - Once heated, the thermoplastic material is typically applied using
a specialized road marking machine or striping equipment that can
create raised, convex lines.
- In some cases, a mold or stencil may be used to ensure the correct
shape and profile for the raised markings.
Raising the Line: - After the paint is applied, the convex shape is achieved either by
adjusting the thickness of the paint layer or by using specialized
tools or molds that press the raised design into the paint before
it cools.
Cooling and Hardening: - Once the material is applied, it cools and hardens quickly. Within
minutes, the marking will become solid and durable, forming a
raised, solid line that is both visible and resilient to traffic
and environmental conditions.
Adding Reflective Glass Beads: - Reflective glass beads are often added to the top of the
thermoplastic material while it is still hot to enhance the
visibility of the marking, especially during nighttime driving or
under headlights.
Common Applications:- Highways and Freeways: For lane markings, edge lines, and other safety markings on busy,
high-speed roads.
- Pedestrian Crossings: To make pedestrian crossings more visible and to ensure safety.
- Parking Lots: Raised lines can be used to delineate parking spaces or traffic
lanes.
- Airports: On runways or taxiways for highly visible and durable markings.
