Difference between CNC milling and CNC turning: CNC milling and turning both are capable of producing accurate custom parts from metals, plastic and other materials. The main difference is that while the cutting tools rotate for milling, the raw material rotates for turning. For that reason, turning is mostly used for machining custom cnc round parts such as shafts, pins, balls, etc. Another difference is that while basic milling machines have three axes of motion, a lathe or turning machine needs only two. In a mill, the cutter usually moves up and down while the workpiece moves horizontally in two directions. In comparison, turning requires only that a non-rotating cutter move left and right on one hand and forward and back on the second axis. The fact that turning has only two axes in its simplest form, constrains the variety of shapes it can produce. For example, turning can produce a shaft, a chess pawn, a cylinder with a rounded end, etc. Turning normally can’t produce even a simple enclosure box. However, advanced turning centers can have more than two axes and therefore can produce a wider variety of shapes.

News: If tool enterprises continue to produce traditional standard tools, their sales will gradually shrink (some private small tool factories produce traditional standard tools in large quantities, and large tool factories cannot face competition because of high costs and gradually lose this part of the market), and they will have no development future. Therefore, China's hardware tool industry must change the concept, vigorously develop the production of efficient advanced tools, replace foreign products with domestic efficient advanced tools, regain this part of the market occupied by imported knives, and pay attention to after-sales students. FAQ: Q: How to avoid mass order quality problems? A: Strengthen the prevention and inspection in advance of the process of production and processing, set important processes as the key point of quality control, and follow up the inspection and defense throughout the process. Q: How can I get a sample for a quality check? A: After the quotation, if needed, you can ask for samples to check quality. We are willing to provide you with a sample for quality and function testing. Q: How can I get the price? A: We need drawings, quantity, and any other specific requirements. Q: What’s your production time? A: Generally, we need 5~10 days for a prototype order, but it can be shortened for urgent orders. Q: How do I ship my products? A: If the goods are less than 200kg, we suggest using express delivery. We have long-term cooperation with FedEx/DHL/UPS and enjoy many discounts. If the goods are more than 200kg, we can arrange the shipment as per the customer’s requirements. |
