Products Description

A double-shaft shredder for domestic waste is a shredding device designed for processing mixed domestic waste. Its core feature is that it is equipped with two relatively rotating knife rollers (moving knife shafts). Through the shearing, tearing and squeezing between the knives, various types of domestic waste (such as plastics, paper, fabrics, wood, kitchen waste, small metal parts, etc.) are broken into fragments of relatively uniform size, providing pre-treatment support for subsequent waste reduction and resource processing (such as recycling, incineration power generation, landfill, etc.).

Working principle of a double-shaft shredder for domestic waste:
The shredding process of a double-shaft shredder mainly relies on the "relative rotation shearing" mechanism. The specific process is as follows:
1. Feeding stage: Domestic waste enters the crushing chamber through a silo or conveyor belt and falls between two parallel and counter-rotating knife rollers.
2. Shearing and tearing: The blades on the two knife rollers are arranged in an interlaced manner. When the knife rollers rotate relative to each other, a "biting" effect is formed between the blades - the material is drawn into the gap between the knives, subjected to strong shearing (cutting by the knife edge), tearing (hooking and pulling by the knife) and squeezing (pressure between the knife and the cavity wall), and thus broken into small pieces.
3. Discharge control: The crushed material is discharged through the screen or gap under the knife roller. The screen aperture can be adjusted according to demand to control the discharge size (usually 40-150mm).
4. Safety protection: If encountering hard objects that cannot be broken (such as stones and metal blocks), the equipment will detect overload through the sensor, trigger the reverse function to try to discharge foreign objects, and if it still cannot be solved, it will automatically stop and alarm to avoid damage to the knife and motor.
