The SMC manhole cover is a modern solution engineered using Sheet
Molding Compound (SMC), a high-performance composite material
composed of unsaturated polyester resin, fiberglass, mineral
fillers, and various functional additives. Manufactured under high
temperature and pressure, the cover forms a dense, one-piece
structure with excellent mechanical and chemical properties.

Lightweight yet Strong:
SMC covers are approximately 60% lighter than traditional cast iron
covers, significantly reducing transportation and installation
costs. Despite their low weight, they provide 4–5 times the
strength of standard covers and fully comply with EN124 load
classes A15, B125, C250, and D400.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance:
The material resists chemical corrosion, moisture, and acidic
environments, making it suitable for long-term use in harsh
conditions without performance degradation.
Anti-Theft Design:
Unlike metal covers, SMC manhole covers have no scrap value,
